What these numbers mean
The counted sample is the sum of Just Eat’s five rating buckets. Its published explanation describes a median score from the previous 12 months. The broader total includes ratings outside this sample; these aggregates do not tell us why each rating was excluded. Buckets group half-star ratings, so the 4–5 bucket percentage is not an exact count of individual four- and five-star reviews.
23% fall in the 1–2 star buckets. Our “Many 1–2★ ratings” label means more than 15% fall in those buckets, with at least 20 counted ratings.
Its Eat Score is 46.5 out of 100. The Eat Score is our own measure, and higher is better: it gives counted ratings in band 4 90% credit and band 5 full credit, with a growing penalty as negative feedback becomes more common. The 1-star band carries slightly more weight than the 2-star band, and small samples are adjusted towards a fixed UK reference. It is not Just Eat’s rating.
